Software Engineer-Backend

Job Description

Fictiv, a company transforming the manufacturing industry with its cloud platform, is seeking a Software Engineer-Backend to join its expanding engineering team in Pune, India. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the company's technical direction and standards.

The Software Engineer will be instrumental in developing a secure and globally scalable system capable of managing the ingestion, quoting, and tracking of millions of parts manufactured worldwide. The role involves handling pre-production intellectual property, requiring a strong focus on security and high availability.

What This Role Involves:

• Writing code and possessing a solid understanding of technical concepts.
• Building highly available, business-critical systems in cloud environments (AWS ecosystem preferred) using Node.js.
• Building backend APIs and integrations.
• Writing unit and integration tests.
• Developing/versioning/maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript / TypeScript, GraphQL, and AWS services such as SQS, Lambdas, EC2, and RDS.
• Experience with SQL & No-SQL databases.
• Experience with event systems such as queues, iPaaS, event buses.
• Experience with distributed systems / caching / security (OWASP Top 10) is a strong plus.
