Job Description
GitLab is seeking a Public Sector Solutions Architect to join their team. As a trusted advisor, the Solutions Architect will demonstrate how GitLab's solutions meet client business requirements, driving technology evaluation and validation during the sales process. This role involves technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle, working collaboratively with customers, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting.
Role involves:
- Providing technical expertise to customers during the pre-sales process.
- Collaborating with the sales team to formulate and execute sales strategies.
- Owning Technical Close Plans and technical evaluations.
- Building deep relationships with customers to enable them to be GitLab advocates.
- Serving as the customer advocate to GitLab teams.
- Maintaining specialty competency in technologies related to GitLab’s market focus.
- Educating customers on the value proposition of GitLab.
- Running Value Stream Assessments in your account with support of a Senior SA leading the engagement.
Requirements:
- Technical presentation and communication skills.
- Understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment.
- Ability to use GitLab.
- Ability to travel if needed.
- Experience with technical pre-sales or in information technology.
- Experience with modern software development or operations.
- Experience with cloud computing.
