Critical Mass is seeking a Freelance Senior Designer to lead design work, focusing on web experiences. The ideal candidate will provide smart, thoughtful design that elevates brand experience across global touchpoints. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects requiring strategic thinking, brand consistency, and digital craft.

The role involves:

• Leading the design of digital experiences, primarily for the web.
• Translating brand principles into modern, cohesive design systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including UX, strategy, and development.
• Contributing to and upholding design standards that scale across global markets.
• Managing own workstream and client communications.
• Developing concepts and communicating ideas.
• Directing and delegating to core creative services disciplines.
• Participating in strategic brainstorming, concept development, creative brief development, and creative execution.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with a strong digital design portfolio.
• Proven experience in digital/web design with strong design system knowledge.
• Expertise in Figma and a sharp design eye with high attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of UX principles.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative environment and managing projects end-to-end.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to operate autonomously.
• Eagerness to collaborate with other creative people.
