Job Description
Critical Mass is seeking a Paid Search Media Director to lead and optimize SEM strategies for enterprise-level accounts. The Director will own campaign strategy, team operations, and executive communications, leveraging deep expertise in in-platform optimizations. They will build and mentor paid search teams, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role involves uncovering insights from data and translating them into growth-driving strategies, owning end-to-end SEM execution, and collaborating across multiple disciplines.Role involves:
  • Defining, executing, and optimizing SEM strategies for enterprise brands.
  • Translating business objectives into actionable SEM strategies.
  • Managing complex, multi-market campaigns.
  • Leading iterative testing initiatives.
  • Delivering insightful reporting with strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Building and nurturing client relationships.
  • Developing team members through coaching and training.
  • Establishing operational workflows and best practices.
  • Participating in new business pitches.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of paid search experience, including 3+ years leading teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Track record of driving performance improvements and managing large budgets.
  • Deep platform expertise across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
  • Strong understanding of retail/shopping campaigns.
  • Experience developing internal SEM infrastructure.
  • Strong analytics and reporting skills.
  • High proficiency with analytics tools and Excel.
  • Experience creating test-and-learn frameworks.
  • Ability to build client relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for SEM.
  • Passion for staying ahead of search trends.
