Job Description

Tandem, a UK-based greener digital bank, is seeking a dedicated HR Advisor to join their team. This role is based on a hybrid working model from their central Cardiff office. The HR Advisor will provide professional and effective advice to the Bank’s employees, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies. They will collaborate with managers to address HR queries, manage employee relations, and foster a positive working environment. The HR Advisor will also support key HR processes such as payroll and contribute to initiatives that improve employee development and wellbeing.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legally compliant advice on absence management, misconduct, performance, and conflict resolution.
  • Produce monthly MI/data packs to identify key risks and issues.
  • Review and maintain HR policies and documentation.
  • Meet with team leaders to understand People challenges and agree on improvement actions.
  • Support change initiatives and the collation of payroll.
  • Support regular people initiatives such as salary reviews and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Requirements:

  • Experience at a similar level in a similar size business.
  • Strong advice background with the ability to think outside of the box.
  • Ability to work flexibly.
  • Ability to understand and apply employment law.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and build good working relationships.
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5.
