Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

VGW, an interactive entertainment company, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building VGW's next-generation infrastructure platform on AWS. The role emphasizes collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on cloud-native practices.

What this role involves:

• Developing and optimizing ETL processes and data workflows.
• Managing and monitoring data infrastructure.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and resource management using Terraform.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a collaborative technical team.
• Experience building & operating container-based infra on AWS (preferably with EKS).
• Experience with DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and observability, container orchestration and streaming platforms (Kafka).
• Understanding of resilience techniques and patterns.
• Understanding of cloud security techniques.
• Experience with ITIL processes and practices.
