Job Description
LivePerson is seeking a Senior Observability/Logging Engineer to join their Observability Platform team. The team is responsible for building a state-of-the-art system for logging, monitoring, and tracing across cloud and on-prem data centers. The ideal candidate will lead the Logging and Monitoring efforts, ensuring robust, scalable solutions within Google Cloud Platform. This role offers the opportunity to empower software developers with advanced observability tools.
Role involves:
- Leading the planning, execution, and management of observability infrastructure.
- Creating and managing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Designing and developing parts of a highly scalable software observability platform.
- Developing and maintaining Kubernetes Helm charts.
- Collaborating with DevOps teams in delivering cloud solutions.
- Ensuring high availability and performance of observability platforms and tools.
- Designing and developing end-to-end Synthetic Tests Monitoring solutions on GCP.
- Participating in on-call rotations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience.
- 3+ years as DevOps Engineer (or equal role).
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and containerization technologies (Docker, etc.).
- Extensive experience with observability tools such as GrafanaLab, CaptainHook, Zabbix, Fluentd, ELK, Kafka, and Prometheus.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - preferred GCP.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages (Bash, Python, Go, etc.).
- Experience with OpenTelemetry Collector and Grafana Agent is a plus.
