Senior Site Reliability Engineer - AWS

Job Description

Kunai is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to modernize systems for a major player in global finance. The Senior SRE will support the platform’s operational stability, observability, automation, and performance. This role involves working closely with the SRE architect and other engineers to implement tooling, improve system reliability, and ensure a seamless developer and platform experience. Role involves:
• Building and maintaining tools to improve reliability, performance, and availability.
• Implementing observability practices and integrating SRE tooling.
• Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and optimize system performance.
• Automating deployment, recovery, and testing processes.
• Contributing to shared engineering patterns and supporting adoption across multiple domain teams.

Requirements:
• 6+ years in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• 3+ years in AWS or other public cloud providers.
• Hands-on experience with SRE tooling (e.g., New Relic, PagerDuty, Splunk, OpenTelemetry).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Java, or Python).
• Experience with automation or performance testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, Cucumber, JMeter).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and build/deployment automation.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
