Job Description
Remote is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers. This role involves managing team dynamics, fostering individual growth, and optimizing team execution. The Engineering Team Leader will spend 30% of their time on management tasks and actively participate in product development. Responsibilities:
  • Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend).
  • Actively participate in product development.
  • Be involved in hiring processes and onboarding new engineers.
  • Manage team dynamics and bring out the best in team members.
  • Provide continuous and constructive feedback.
  • Help the team grow and be responsible for each direct report’s career.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the team.

Requirements:
  • Managed an engineering team of at least 2 people.
  • Extensive experience with Backend (Elixir/Phoenix).
  • Commitment to promoting all of Remote's values.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of engineering and development principles.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Focused on efficient processes with a people-first approach.
  • Ability to inspire others and instill confidence.
  • Good understanding of team dynamics.
