Body Controls - Vehicle Access Controls Engineer

Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking a Vehicle Access Controls Engineer to lead the development of control systems for vehicle access features. This role involves developing requirements and test cases, integrating features into the controller code base, and testing software on the vehicle. The ideal candidate will work in cross-functional teams to solve controls problems and participate in the design of electric vehicles.Responsibilities:

• Develop control systems for vehicle access features.
• Develop requirements and test cases for access control features.
• Improve and develop a simulation model/platform.
• Assist integration of features into the controller code base.
• Test the developed software on the vehicle and assist in calibration of the features.
• Support Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Develop diagnostic, communication and other interfaces across controllers/ECU’s.
• Work in cross-functional teams to solve controls problems.
• Participate in the design of a world-class engineering effort.

Requirements:

• 2-4+ years of experience with automotive control systems.
• Expert knowledge of model-based design using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow.
• Expert understanding of Automatic Control Systems.
• Good understanding of C/C++.
• Experience with failure analysis methodology like FMEA and fault trees.
• Experience with tools like JAMA/JIRA/Git/Confluence.
• Experience in working with cross functional teams.
• Creativity in your design, ability to build stuff with your hands and great communication skills.
