Job Description
The Business Affairs Associate role supports the content creation process, working with producers, creatives, and executives. This role is with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners. The individual will be an employee of the third-party agency and not the NFL.
Role involves:
- Researching and acquiring materials from external parties.
- Reviewing contractual terms for rights acquisition.
- Coordinating deal requests and tracking agreements.
- Drafting contractual agreements for footage licenses, talent, and locations.
- Managing cross-departmental trackers and status reports.
- Reviewing content for potential legal issues.
Requirements:
- J.D. from an ABA accredited law school, or a combination of a four-year degree in Business Administration (or related field) plus four years of relevant work experience as a contract administrator/transactional paralegal in a law firm, legal department, or business affairs department
- 1-2 years of footage research experience in a production environment
- 1-2 years of experience working in footage licensing, including negotiating rates and terms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in AirTable
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
