Job Description
Marqeta is seeking a Compensation Manager to serve as a strategic compensation business partner. This role involves designing, planning, and implementing compensation programs, policies, and processes for Marqeta's teams. The Compensation Manager will work with leadership and cross-functional People Experience team members to create tailored solutions that meet organizational needs while balancing market competitiveness and fiscal responsibility. This position is part of the Total Rewards team.

The role involves:
  • Acting as a primary partner for assigned business function client groups.
  • Designing compelling, scalable compensation solutions.
  • Collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless execution of compensation programs.
  • Managing job and compensation structure related to client groups.
  • Conducting modeling and analysis on all aspects of compensation.
  • Leading efforts to review global pay gap reporting and compliance.
  • Developing and delivering presentations to influence decision-making.
  • Partnering with Talent Acquisition and PBPs on new hire offers and internal mobility.

Requirements:
  • Significant experience in global compensation.
  • Prior experience with high-growth tech companies.
  • Flexible, growth mindset, comfort with ambiguity and change.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Collaborative team player with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Google Sheets expertise.
  • Familiarity with Workday.
