Job Description
Marqeta is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead large-scale initiatives across its product and technology organizations. This role is within Marqeta’s Technology and AI division, where the individual will be responsible for driving and reporting on a portfolio of transformational programs that modernize and uplift all of Marqeta’s online services. The Senior Technical Program Manager will drive process, data, and technology transformations across agile engineering functions and collaborate with other organizations within Marqeta.
Role involves:
- Driving a portfolio of technical programs and projects.
- Developing and leveraging strong partnerships for transformation.
- Identifying high-priority initiatives.
- Defining and executing communication plans.
- Managing risks, schedules, and blockers.
- Validating assumptions and defining success metrics.
- Suggesting improvements to TPM standards.
- Using scrum and agile practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience managing technical programs or projects.
- Proficiency in agile software development practices.
- Familiarity with modern cloud-based services technologies.
- Understanding of modern SSDLC practices.
- Knowledge of fundamental modern practices for ongoing delivery of high-availability online services.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently across time zones.
- Skill in navigating ambiguity.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects.
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
