Job Description

Jumia, a leading pan-African e-commerce platform, is seeking a Group Financial Reporting Expert to enhance financial reporting processes and collaborate with stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to shape the financial narrative of a major eCommerce player in Africa.Role involves:

• Drafting group public filings.
• Overseeing the preparation and management of the Group's Annual Report.
• Managing the production of monthly financial statements and performance reviews.
• Developing and maintaining accounting policies and process guidelines in line with IFRS.
• Creating and updating centralized valuation models and accounting frameworks.
• Providing expert assistance during audit processes.
• Documenting and implementing changes to internal control requirements.
• Collaborating on cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• An academic degree in Management, Finance, Audit, Accounting, or a related field.
• Approximately 10 years of professional experience in financial management or accounting roles.
• Extensive knowledge and practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail in complex financial environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with particular expertise in Excel.
• Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
