Jumia, a leading pan-African e-commerce platform, is seeking a Senior Retool Software Engineer to join their team in Portugal. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of e-commerce in Africa and be part of a dynamic and professional environment.Responsibilities:

• Interpreting business/technical requirements and designing high-quality solutions.
• Working in a team-based development environment with code reviews and source control.
• Ensuring quality, scalability, and performance in Retool applications.
• Optimizing Retool applications, processes, and methodologies.
• Collaborating with peers in development, testing, and automation tasks.

Requirements:

• Strong working experience and knowledge of Javascript.
• Experience with low code platforms, Retool experience is a plus.
• Understanding of low code workflows and resource integrations.
• Understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Redis...).
• Experience with testing layers and version control technologies (e.g., GIT).
• Knowledge of algorithms and distributed systems.
• Academic background in IT or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English.
