Job Description
FLYR is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead a complex enterprise software development initiative. This role requires strategic leadership, project oversight, and cross-functional alignment to ensure successful and timely execution. The Program Director will manage client expectations through frequent communication and data-driven reporting.Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all aspects of managing a complex program, coordinating with clients, third parties, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring successful delivery against milestones, applying change, risk, and resource management principles.
- Measuring and reporting on key performance indicators and making improvements.
- Engaging with airline customers' executives and subject matter experts.
- Managing relationships with airline customers to understand their data, systems, and business processes.
- Supervising teams of delivery managers, project managers, and business analysts.
- Reporting detailed status updates to leadership and executive teams.
- Setting strategic goals and objectives for programs.
- Managing technical and relationship escalations.
- Providing processes for monitoring performance and collaborating with program teams.
- Defining product capabilities to improve customer onboarding.
Qualifications include:
- Proven track record as a successful program director or program manager of a complex IT project within the commercial airline industry.
- Knowledge of current program management methods and best practices.
- Experience partnering with engineering teams.
- Experience managing teams and budgets.
- Excellent executive reporting, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience with industry-standard project management software and tools.
- Experience in business process definition.
- Experience working with c-level and managing upper-level stakeholders.
