Job Description
FLYR is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead a complex enterprise software development initiative. This role requires strategic leadership, project oversight, and cross-functional alignment to ensure successful and timely execution. The Program Director will manage client expectations through frequent communication and data-driven reporting.Responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing all aspects of managing a complex program, coordinating with clients, third parties, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring successful delivery against milestones, applying change, risk, and resource management principles.
  • Measuring and reporting on key performance indicators and making improvements.
  • Engaging with airline customers' executives and subject matter experts.
  • Managing relationships with airline customers to understand their data, systems, and business processes.
  • Supervising teams of delivery managers, project managers, and business analysts.
  • Reporting detailed status updates to leadership and executive teams.
  • Setting strategic goals and objectives for programs.
  • Managing technical and relationship escalations.
  • Providing processes for monitoring performance and collaborating with program teams.
  • Defining product capabilities to improve customer onboarding.
Qualifications include:
  • Proven track record as a successful program director or program manager of a complex IT project within the commercial airline industry.
  • Knowledge of current program management methods and best practices.
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams.
  • Experience managing teams and budgets.
  • Excellent executive reporting, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with industry-standard project management software and tools.
  • Experience in business process definition.
  • Experience working with c-level and managing upper-level stakeholders.
