Job Description

Ping Identity is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to play a crucial role in the architecture, deployment, and reliability of its identity platform. The successful candidate will be embedded within development teams, operating under a DevOps model, and involved in the entire lifecycle of SaaS offerings.

The role involves designing, building, and maintaining production infrastructure on AWS, developing deployment pipelines, and resolving complex performance issues. The engineer will also build and maintain observability stacks, administer infrastructure tooling, and automate Linux-based systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain production infrastructure on AWS.
  • Develop and manage deployment pipelines for global infrastructure.
  • Investigate and resolve complex performance and application issues.
  • Build and maintain observability stacks.
  • Administer and evolve modern infrastructure tooling.
  • Manage and automate Linux-based systems.
  • Plan for infrastructure capacity and manage traffic routing.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Software Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering.
  • Solid experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Expertise with infrastructure provisioning tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with configuration management tools.
  • Skilled in Git workflows.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms.
  • Experience with CI/CD and automation tools.
  • Strong Linux/UNIX administration skills.
  • Grasp of networking principles in cloud-based environments.
  • Understanding of security best practices.
  • Proficiency in a scripting or programming language.
  • Experience supporting high-traffic production services.
