Backbase, a global leader in Engagement Banking, is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their Platform team in Amsterdam. This role is crucial for managing customer runtimes and upholding the highest security standards in cloud operations.

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will represent security within the team, conducting threat modeling sessions, vulnerability tests, risk analysis, and security assessments. They will also support incident handling and help realize a state-of-the-art monitoring and alerting system.

The role involves implementing and maintaining cloud security best practices in Azure environments, ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen the overall security framework and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities:

• Represent Security in the team.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of cloud security infrastructure and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with Zero-Trust architecture, security processes, and incident management.
• Proficiency with tools like Helm Charts and Kubernetes.
• Up-to-date on the latest cloud security tools and practices.
• Automation-first mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar role running workloads on public cloud.
