Anthropic is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their performance and scaling teams. In this role, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for identifying and removing bottlenecks, building robust solutions, and maximizing the efficiency of Anthropic's systems. The Engineering Manager will also bring clarity, focus, and context to their teams in a fast-paced environment.Role involves:

• Providing front-line leadership of engineering efforts.
• Becoming familiar with the team’s technical stack.
• Managing day-to-day execution of the team's work.
• Prioritizing the team’s work and managing projects.
• Coaching and supporting reports.
• Maintaining a deep understanding of the team's technical work.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of management experience in a technical environment.
• A background in machine learning, AI, or a similar related technical field.
• Deep interest in the potential transformative effects of advanced AI systems.
• Excel at building strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Quick learner, capable of understanding complex technical topics.
• Experience managing teams through periods of rapid growth and change.
