Job Description

Anthropic is seeking a Technical Product Engineer to join their Applied AI, Beneficial Deployments team. This role focuses on enabling organizations with positive societal impact to successfully integrate Claude into their operations. The Technical Product Engineer will partner with organizations in sectors like education, healthcare, scientific research, and nonprofits, assisting them in leveraging AI for meaningful outcomes.

The ideal candidate will combine deep engineering expertise with customer-facing skills to help these organizations understand the potential of working with LLMs and build innovative solutions that address complex challenges while maintaining high standards for safety and reliability. Working closely with Anthropic's Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, the Technical Product Engineer will guide beneficial deployment partners from initial technical discovery through successful implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with account executives to understand requirements and architect technical solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor to beneficial deployment partners.
• Design and develop proof-of-concept applications and prototypes.
• Create and deliver technical content for impact-focused audiences.
• Build compelling demos showcasing practical integration strategies.
• Guide technical architecture decisions and help partners build state-of-the-art systems.
• Help organizations develop evaluation frameworks and testing suites.
• Lead hands-on technical workshops and code reviews.
• Identify common integration patterns and contribute insights to Product and Engineering teams.
• Foster community engagement through technical office hours and developer forums.
• Maintain strong knowledge of LLM capabilities and technology applications.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles.
• Experience working with educational institutions, healthcare organizations, research groups, or nonprofits.
• Strong programming skills with proficiency in Python.
• Expertise working with common LLM implementation patterns.
• Proven ability to develop technical prototypes and demos.
• Exceptional ability to build relationships and communicate technical concepts.
• Strong technical communication skills with the ability to create scalable content.
• A passion for using technology to create positive societal impact.
• Excitement for engaging in cross-organizational collaboration.
• Passion for thinking creatively about how to use technology safely and beneficially.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
