Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering

Job Description

Zscaler is seeking a Sr. Manager of Software Engineering to lead a dynamic team advancing Zero Trust technology and flagship cloud security products. The Sr. Manager will oversee Identity and Access control infrastructure, reporting to the Sr. Director, Engineering. This role involves managing development, quality, and collaborating globally with architects, product managers, developers, and engineers for successful production delivery.

Responsibilities include:

• Promoting the product vision internally and externally.
• Collaborating with product management to develop roadmaps and identify gaps.
• Designing solutions with cloud reliability, availability, scalability, and security in mind.
• Working with teams to ensure project requirements are met efficiently.
• Contributing to budget planning by assessing resource needs and costs for cloud services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• 13+ years of experience in development, enterprise services, networking, and security.
• Experience building control plane systems on globally distributed databases.
• Skilled in authentication and authorization mechanisms like SAML, OAUTH, LDAP, and SCIM.
• Proficient in distributed systems and data replication protocols.
• Experienced with public cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Skilled in using Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications and managing microservices architecture.
