Job Description

Oportun is seeking a passionate and skilled Product Designer to join their team. The Product Designer will work with stakeholders to understand problems, create thoughtful solutions, and maintain high-quality work. They will also contribute to building a positive design culture.Role involves:

• Partnering with stakeholders to clarify problem spaces

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of product design experience
• Experience with consumer-facing desktop and mobile products
• In-depth knowledge of Figma
• Excellent online portfolio
• Passion for product design
• Humility and openness to feedback
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of design systems
• Strong brand and customer empathy
• Understanding of product and business goals
• Knowledge of using data for decision-making
• Ability to work with complex problems and ambiguity
• Ability to manage stakeholders and influence decisions
• Ability to work autonomously and drive projects
• Ability to plan and manage work
• First principles and product thinking
• Effort vs. impact mindset
