Job Description
Narvar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to contribute to the development and deployment of its products, impacting major global brands and millions of consumers. The role is based in Bangalore and operates on a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and customer success teams to define product roadmaps and requirements.
- Translating requirements into actionable work streams and designing, estimating, developing, and productionizing features.
- Employing agile methodologies to deploy code to production frequently.
- Providing production support for customer issues and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Improving software quality through test-driven development, unit and integration tests, and process improvements.
- Mentoring team members and researching and adopting new technologies.
- Communicating effectively through technical design documents and feedback.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in building reliable, scalable systems.
- Experience leading teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- BS/MS in computer science, information systems, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Java (or C#) and frameworks like Spring.
- Experience with microservice architecture patterns, API Gateways, and distributed tracing.
- Experience with relational (Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (BigTable, BigQuery, Cassandra/YugaByte, DynamoDB, Redis).
- Knowledge of performance tuning and garbage collection.
- Exposure to queueing, distributed streaming (e.g., Pulsar, Google PubSub), and serverless frameworks.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell scripts).
- Understanding of cloud-native principles and GCP/AWS services.
- Experience handling scale and building enterprise business applications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Docker containers.
