Senior Data Analytics Engineer

Job Description

Ethos is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to join their Data Platform team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business growth. This role involves data analysis, data modeling, and warehouse development. The Senior Data Analytics Engineer will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and build a roadmap for new data model development. They will also collaborate with application and product teams to understand product and application behavior to arrive at the appropriate data model.

• Build and maintain data marts to support various business functions and carrier partners.
• Optimize queries and refine data structures to ensure efficient data retrieval and reporting.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by implementing data validation and data cleansing processes.
• Set standards for data model development and evangelize best practices.
• Maintain detailed documentation of data models.
• Lead large projects and mentor the team on technical aspects.

• 6+ years of proven experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering or a related role
• Strong proficiency in SQL and DBT for data model development is a must
• Experience with data integration tools and platforms, including Airflow
• Familiarity with Mode or similar data visualization tools
• Knowledge of tools like Segment, Amplitude & Iterable is a plus
