Preservica is seeking a Business Development Representative to join their team in Boston. This is a hybrid role ideal for someone with business development or lead generation experience looking to enter high-end software sales. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in growing Preservica's customer base, particularly for their Preserve365 solution.
The Business Development Representative will collaborate with the Sales, Channel, and Marketing teams to identify and develop new business opportunities. They will be responsible for contacting and building relationships with potential new customers, as well as responding to marketing-generated leads. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a consultative approach to qualifying leads.
Role Involves:
- Identifying and generating new strategic opportunities.
- Qualifying leads from marketing campaigns.
- Engaging with potential clients through targeted outreach and digital channels.
- Building long-term trusting relationships with clients.
- Facilitating the handover of qualified leads to the Enterprise Sales team.
- Maintaining detailed records within Salesforce.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High-energy, motivated, and self-driven.
- Proven experience in a Business Development role.
- Hands-on experience with sales qualification techniques (BANT & MEDDIC).
- Track record of achieving sales quotas.
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Familiarity with MS Excel.
- Understanding of sales performance metrics.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
