Job Description
Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Manager, Internal Audit to join their Finance team in Toronto. This role involves supporting the best practices of the finance division to drive Internal Audit at Lightspeed. The Senior Manager will contribute to the growth of the Internal Audit team by executing internal audit engagements, performing risk evaluations, drafting audit reports, and verifying the effective implementation of management action plans. They may also participate in ad-hoc compliance projects to enhance the Internal Audit function.
What this role involves:
  • Developing and overseeing the execution of the annual risk-based internal audit plan.
  • Preparing comprehensive audit reports and presenting findings to senior management.
  • Partnering with senior management to discuss audit findings and remediation plans.
  • Overseeing the optimization of the internal audit system (AuditBoard).
  • Leading ad-hoc special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Developing and mentoring internal audit staff.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal audit methodologies.
  • Staying abreast of emerging risks and regulatory changes.
Requirements:
  • CPA, CIA, or equivalent professional designation.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, COSO framework, and internal audit standards (IIA).
  • Experience in leading complex audit engagements and performing risk assessments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with audit management software.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
