Job Description
Lush is seeking an Assistant Manager for their La Palmera location in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role supports the Shop Manager in all business areas, ensuring a strong customer experience, staff experience, and operational excellence. The Assistant Manager will embody Lush's Leadership Practices, including being real, curious, leading fearlessly, adapting and evolving, growing talent, and living with purpose.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the team to exceed daily sales goals and ensure an inclusive customer experience.
- Educating customers and staff on brand values and ethical practices.
- Increasing product knowledge and providing informed recommendations.
- Demonstrating business acumen and understanding of metrics and budgets.
- Supporting the team on the sales floor, answering questions, and problem-solving.
- Owning personal development and supporting the growth of the team.
- Ensuring the team is inspired, motivated, and building strong relationships.
- Supporting staffing efforts through recruitment, hiring, and succession planning.
- Collaborating on plans to improve staff engagement, retention, and DEIB practices.
- Supporting the manager in maintaining shop compliance and practicing company standards.
- Supporting the training of the inventory team and managing ordering within budget.
- Ensuring a clean and beautiful work environment and following merchandising standards.
- Ensuring proper scheduling, time and attendance recording, and staff wellbeing.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of managing or supervising in a retail environment
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong customer service, supervisory, and sales skills
- Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
- Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
