Job Description
The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) is seeking a Knowledge Management Consultant to support the newly established Partnerships & Philanthropy team. This is a 10-week contract position based in Washington, DC, requiring a hybrid work schedule. The consultant will play a crucial role in database management, Salesforce system optimization, and file management restructuring to enhance organizational efficiency.
Responsibilities: - Lead data clean-up efforts for existing accounts, contacts, and opportunities in Salesforce.
- Consolidate fundraising and relationship trackers for Salesforce integration.
- Identify information gaps in Salesforce and solicit updates from team members.
- Enter prospective funder details and contact information into Salesforce.
- Create standardized data entry protocols for Salesforce.
- Assist in developing custom reports and dashboards to track fundraising progress.
- Review and reorganize the Philanthropy & Fundraising team’s digital file management system.
- Develop and implement standardized file naming conventions and folder structures.
- Create documentation for file management protocols and train team members.
- Archive outdated materials and ensure version control for critical documents.
- Implement metadata tagging system for improved document searchability.
- Identify and eliminate duplicate records and redundant information.
- Document best practices for data management and CRM usage.
- Create training materials for staff on CRM functionality and data entry procedures.
- Participate in team meetings to share updates on data management progress.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures for knowledge management purposes.
- Compile lessons learned and recommendations for long-term knowledge management strategy.
Requirements: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Management, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with database management concepts and data validation techniques.
- Previous experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
