Job Description
Kick, a global live-streaming platform, is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to join their team in Melbourne. This role is crucial for building reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems, working alongside product and platform teams across Australia and the US. The Software Quality Engineer will play a key role in strengthening core systems across application architecture, infrastructure, and engineering processes. They will help ensure that Kick continues to serve millions of users with the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and user experience.
Role Involves:
- Driving quality engineering strategy within Agile product teams.
- Designing and implementing scalable automated testing frameworks.
- Owning test infrastructure and tooling.
- Leading and performing exploratory testing.
- Collaborating with developers, product managers, and designers.
- Participating in code reviews and technical design discussions.
- Mentoring engineers and championing testing best practices.
- Evaluating and adopting new testing tools and methodologies.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering.
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites and frameworks.
- Exposure to performance testing tools.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Docker and cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (AWS Code Pipeline, Github Actions).
- Experience using monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, New Relic, Grafana).
- Strong understanding of software quality principles and testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience (preferred).
