IAM Engineer

Job Description

Anaplan is seeking an IAM Engineer to join its Security Operations and Enterprise Security team. This role is crucial for protecting the organization's workforce and systems by focusing on securing employee access to enterprise systems, enforcing governance policies, and reducing identity-related risks. The IAM Engineer will report to the Director of Security Operations and Enterprise Security and will play a key part in building a scalable and secure identity infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on SailPoint and zero trust principles.

Role Involves:

• Designing, implementing, and managing identity lifecycle and access governance processes.
• Developing and configuring SailPoint IdentityNow workflows, rules, connectors, and integrations.
• Collaborating with HR, IT, and engineering to integrate IAM into core employee systems.
• Applying zero trust principles to enforce least privilege and implement just-in-time access.
• Supporting and enhancing access control policies, RBAC models, and entitlement management.
• Providing hands-on technical support to maintain and evolve a complex hybrid IAM environment.
• Writing scripts and using APIs to automate identity processes and integrate third-party applications.
• Monitoring and improving IAM performance, ensuring alignment with threat detection and prevention goals.
• Contributing to the maturity of the IAM function within a growing team.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in identity and access management.
• Extensive experience implementing and supporting SailPoint IdentityNow.
• Strong understanding of IAM concepts.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with identity standards and protocols such as SAML, OAuth, SCIM, and LDAP.
• Experience working with role-based access control (RBAC) models.
• Exposure to zero trust architecture and JIT access models.
• Knowledge of software development practices, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
