Velocity Electronics is seeking a Strategic Purchasing Assistant to join their team in Singapore. The company is a leading independent electronic components distributor that values growth, development, and a positive work environment. This role supports the Purchasing Department by providing administrative assistance and operational process improvements.Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and updating purchasing processes and procedures.
  • Maintaining vendor management and qualification.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and auditing supplier reliability.
  • Generating reports.
  • Ensuring accuracy and consistency of inventory records with suppliers’ reference data.
  • Coordinating with the purchasing team and updating workflows and procedures.
  • Assisting and updating vendor ratings.
  • Assisting and updating trade referencing checking.
  • Assisting in generating specific supplier and internal reports.
  • Supporting the purchasing team with administration duties.
  • Performing other duties as requested by management.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of office or purchasing experience.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
