Job Description
Garner Health is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Directory team in New York City. This role focuses on maintaining a best-in-class understanding of physicians and healthcare facilities across the U.S. The Data Scientist will work in the office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
What this role involves:
- Build and maintain data-driven algorithms, including AI and machine learning models, to improve provider recommendations and the member search experience.
- Enhance Garner’s understanding of the provider landscape by evaluating and integrating data from multiple sources.
- Design scalable data pipelines that ingest, clean, and enrich healthcare provider data.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years professional experience in data science, product analytics, and/or healthcare.
- A demonstrated ability to independently solve difficult problems and deliver high quality results to senior stakeholders.
- Experience with Python and SQL.
- A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success.
- Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment.
- A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the United States of America as Garner does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time.
