Archer Aviation is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their Powertrain software team. This role involves developing safety-critical software components for electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will participate in planning, design, coding, and testing, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities: - Develop safety-critical software components.
- Participate in planning, design, coding, and testing.
- Decompose requirements into high-level and low-level software requirements.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate complex hardware/software systems.
- Perform software analyses, requirements-based testing, and structural coverage analysis.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement.
Requirements: - BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proficiency with C and Python.
- Experience developing embedded software, preferably in a regulated environment (DO-178C or ISO 26262).
- Familiarity with debuggers and lab instruments.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Benefits: - Targeted base pay between $134,400 - $168,000.
