Job Description
PlayStation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Front End to join their team in Los Angeles. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for defining requirements and delivering major features for shared libraries and services across the PlayStation ecosystem. They will collaborate with engineers across PlayStation teams to understand diverse architectures and integrate features into shared libraries. The ideal candidate will maintain stability, performance, and quality of the codebase by applying development standards and using automation to support internal CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities:
  • Define requirements and deliver major features for shared libraries and services.
  • Collaborate across PlayStation teams to understand diverse architectures.
  • Define and deliver evaluation criteria for testability, scalability, and performance.
  • Maintain stability, performance, and quality of the codebase.
  • Work independently and mentor junior engineers.
  • Provide detailed peer review feedback for all team members.
  • Understand existing development and testing processes and identify improvements.
  • Exercise creative problem solving capabilities and collaborate with other teams and engineers to define a path forward.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficient in developing high-performance JavaScript code.
  • Experience collaborating with multi-functional partners.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
