Job Description
OKX is seeking a Head of Compliance for the Americas region. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance framework, strategy, and programs for the Americas, ensuring alignment with global compliance standards and regulatory requirements. The Head of Compliance will provide strategic guidance for new product development and service launches, lead and manage the Americas compliance team, and serve as the primary point of contact with key regulatory bodies.

What this role involves:
  • Developing and enhancing the compliance framework for the Americas.
  • Providing compliance advice for U.S. expansion, focusing on derivatives and digital assets.
  • Leading regional compliance risk assessments.
  • Collaborating with global compliance, legal, and product teams.
  • Overseeing U.S. Money Transmitter License portfolios and Canadian licensing.
  • Staying updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in senior compliance leadership within financial services.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S., Canadian, and Bahamian regulatory landscapes.
  • Experience managing regulatory relationships and examinations.
  • Understanding of market compliance, AML/CFT, and consumer protection regulations.
  • Relevant advanced degrees (e.g., Juris Doctor, MBA).
