Job Description
Wayve is seeking an Engineering Manager for the AV Stack team within the Robot Software division. This role is based in London and involves leading a team of engineers to deliver a reliable software stack for autonomous driving. The Engineering Manager will enable model developers and scientists to iterate quickly and gather data to improve autonomous driving capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Own data logging and offload services.
- Maximize data fidelity and minimize resource consumption.
- Own the vehicle health framework.
- Enable coordination and OTA of system software components.
- Configure, operate, and diagnose connectivity and telematics.
- Lead a high-performing team of software engineers.
- Own the technical roadmap for the team.
- Empower the team to operate autonomously.
- Guide the team to develop fault-tolerant software solutions.
- Communicate with leadership and stakeholders.
- Support the development of team members.
Requirements:
- Linux Cpp/Rust application development
- Experience with data serialization and IPC/RPC frameworks on Linux systems.
- Leadership and management experience in a software development team.
- Strong hand-on development experience in C++ or Rust.
- Ability to build, manage, and grow high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills and effective collaboration.
- Strategic acumen and ability to distill objectives into a technical roadmap.
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
