Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Signifyd is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of its cloud-based infrastructure. This role involves leading a team of skilled engineers in maintaining and automating a vast cloud-based computing environment that supports Signifyd's decision platform. The candidate will collaborate with development teams and fellow cloud infrastructure engineers to address critical issues, ensuring seamless system operations.Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud-based services.
• Developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
• Implementing and managing Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration, monitoring, and scaling.
• Enhancing cloud infrastructure security, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborating on CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployment.
• Defining and maintaining cloud engineering best practices and standards.
• Optimizing applications for cloud deployment, emphasizing performance and scalability.
• Troubleshooting complex engineering issues and providing root cause analysis.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation related to the cloud infrastructure.
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior team members.

Requirements include:

• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Extensive expertise in Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (AWS and GCP).
• Deep knowledge of best practices for cloud environments, including security, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
• In-depth knowledge of networking principles and security best practices.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi).
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) best practices (Terraform).
• Experience in software development with skills in a high-level language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java).
• Understanding of Cloud Observability, Monitoring, and Tracing tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, Jaeger, ELK).
