Software Engineer - Onboarding

BitGo, a leading infrastructure provider of digital asset solutions, is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Onboarding team. This role is based full-time onsite at their Toronto office. The Software Engineer will be responsible for building an API-first platform that empowers businesses and developers to launch crypto products.BitGo is looking for someone to contribute to the team and help deliver trust in digital assets.Role involves:

• Designing and building scalable APIs, libraries, and services.
• Owning functionality and scalability features from inception to deployment.
• Exposing and documenting functionality to the UI and third-party developers.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fixing bugs.
• Implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Mentoring peers.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of back-end and server-side development experience.
• Strong algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis skills.
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with RESTful API design.
• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with unit and functional testing and debugging.
• Experience in Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, and CI tools.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Understanding of and interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
