Partner Account Manager - NYC

Pure Storage is seeking a Partner Account Manager (PAM) in New York City to cultivate Reseller and Technology Alliance relationships. The PAM will recruit, develop, and manage business relationships with Reseller partners in the region. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Partner Sales Manager, Regional Sales Directors, District Managers, and Account Executive teams to develop and service partners and prospects. They will also work with the Channel and Field Marketing team on programs and events.

What this role involves:

• Creating strategies to maximize sell-through of Pure products within Channel
• Managing and being the main point of contact for existing partners
• Driving partners to maximize sales through best practices, training, and support
• Managing sales orders and providing status updates
• Learning about new products and improving selling skills
• Communicating new product offerings to partners
• Working with marketing to drive programs and events
• Staying informed about competition and products
• Attending sales meetings, product seminars, and trade shows
• Conducting contract negotiations and executing partner sales plans

Requirements:

• Experience developing Reseller and Distributor Channels
• BA/BS degree in business, marketing, or software engineering
• Ability to assess, plan, and manage a territory for maximum revenue and efficiency
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Desire to drive change and evangelize new technologies
• Passion for post-sales customer success
• Knowledge of the storage industry (Fibre Channel, NFS, Enterprise Storage architectures)
• Competitive attitude and strong work ethic
