Job Description
DV Trading, headquartered in Chicago, is expanding its team in London. They are seeking a Junior Trader to join a newly formed options trading team focused on US equity options. The Junior Trader will collaborate with an experienced trader to scale an existing volatility trading strategy. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the desk from the ground up, working closely with researchers and developers at DV Trading.
Responsibilities:
- Generate trading profits through volatility trading by taking positions
- Real-time risk management of your portfolio and trades
- Improving and refining the setup and infrastructure of the desk
- Identify and pursue new opportunities using quantitative methods
Requirements:
- 6-24 months of work experience in a trading firm, with focus on volatility trading
- Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- In depth understanding of volatility trading and willing to act on your opinion to take advantage of opportunities in the market
- Will to work according to US market hours
- Proficient with Excel; VBA is a plus
- Proficient in a programming language (preferably Python); Other programming experience is a plus
