Authentication Specialist I

GOAT is seeking a fashion enthusiast to join their Operations team as an Authentication Specialist I. This role involves managing the worldwide distribution network and ensuring the authenticity of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of sneakers, apparel, and the consignment industry, particularly for brands like Nike, Jordan, and Adidas.

The Authentication Specialist will verify the authenticity of sneakers and apparel, identify manufacturer defects, assess wear, and inspect SKU and size. They will also stay updated on industry trends, releases, and collaborations.

Responsibilities:

• Support daily fulfillment and operational processes
• Receive and arrange inbound inventory
• Adhere to the product verification process
• Enter data accurately into GOAT Group Admin
• Use training notes to verify product authenticity
• Follow training roadmaps and research trends
• Communicate actively in Slack
• Work in a dynamic warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

• Passion for sneakers and fashion
• Knowledge of products and the resale industry
• Ability to recognize current trends
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Quick learner and self-starter
• Ability to lift and move boxes (up to 35 pounds)
• Proficient in English
• Willingness to work extended hours as needed
