Chief Data Architect

Job Description

Bottomline is seeking a Chief Data Architect to design and implement an operational data capability. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the data SDLC and be responsible for designing and evolving an end-to-end data lifecycle management capability. This role involves ensuring secure data transport from various operational databases into a secure central data repository (Data Lakehouse) and seamless integration with the current Data Virtualization Capability. Bottomline requires someone to deliver on a comprehensive ETL design, collaborate with CIO, CISO, and CPO teams, and ensure data governance, compliance, and security tools are integrated into the design. The candidate will work closely with CTO teams to extract value from data and ensure the data environment supports medallion architectures, data sharing, and automated pipelines for model building.Responsibilities:

• Design and evolve an end-to-end data lifecycle management capability.
• Ensure secure data transport from operational databases to a secure central data repository.
• Deliver a comprehensive ETL design.
• Collaborate with CIO, CISO, and CPO teams to ensure roadmap and security capabilities.
• Work closely with CTO teams to extract value from data.

Requirements:

• Extensive technical background in data SDLC.
• Strong technical leadership qualities.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of data enablement.
• Collaborative team player with experience in a global organization.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant fields.
