Job Description
Pathward is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter to manage the underwriting process for commercial real estate construction and USDA loans. The role involves ensuring credit risk is acceptable and maintaining an appropriate risk-return relationship. The Senior Underwriter will collaborate with Business Development Officers, review deal packages, and conduct prospect interviews. They will also analyze financial statements, review field examinations, and visit prospect locations.
Role Involves:
- Underwriting lending products.
- Collaborating with Business Development Officers.
- Reviewing deal packages and conducting interviews.
- Analyzing financial statements and cash flows.
- Preparing credit narratives and overseeing the closing documentation process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- USDA program experience.
- Proven track record underwriting commercial real estate construction loans.
- In-depth knowledge of USDA operating procedures and credit risk management practices.
- Ability to structure and assess complex USDA-backed loan transactions.
