Betsson Group is seeking a Data Engineer to contribute to the development of its Data Warehouse solutions. The role involves designing and developing the company's data platform to meet business needs and improve existing systems. The Data Engineer will have the opportunity to design new data pipelines, maintain platforms hosted on premise and cloud, manage real-time API integrations, and apply transformations on data streams for both batch-loading and real-time visualizations. This position requires a candidate who can build a consolidated Data Platform with innovative features, join a talented team, and thrive in a technically challenging environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and evolving the existing data platform.
  • Participating in data integrations involving internal data, 3rd parties, and migrations.
  • Handling the ingestion of streaming data and applying transformations to data streams.
  • Being involved in data modelling following data standards such as Inmon and Kimball
  • Ensuring data quality by verifying data consistency and accuracy.
  • Keeping up to date on research and development of new technologies and techniques to enhance the data platform.
  • Collaborating with Data DevOps, Business Intelligence, and other multi-disciplined teams within Betsson.
  • Working in an agile environment involving SDLC.
  • Being familiar with the change and release management process.
  • Having an investigative mindset to be able to troubleshoot
  • Documenting well processes and perform knowledge sharing sessions.

Requirements include:

  • Experience with modern cloud database technologies such as Snowflake.
  • Experience with orchestrating data pipelines using Airflow.
  • Experience with SQL and Data Integration Tools.
  • Experience with any programming language like Python or Java.
  • Knowledge on AWS Services like S3/Lambda/API Gateways/DMS/RDS.
  • Development experience in both Microsoft and Linux/Cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
