Job Description

Forge Health is seeking a Psycho-Oncologist Community Therapist to join their expanding psycho-oncology program. This full-time role involves providing therapy services and proactive outreach to oncology networks. The ideal candidate will be an independently licensed therapist or someone working toward full licensure, with a strong interest in working with oncology clients and engaging the broader community in behavioral health education and access.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing individual, group, and family therapy to individuals and families impacted by cancer
  • Facilitating psychoeducational and therapeutic groups
  • Conducting community outreach to oncology providers and support networks
  • Completing initial assessments, treatment plans, and documentation
  • Collaborating with the clinical leadership team
  • Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Participating in continued education and growth efforts

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Independently licensed or license-eligible (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, PsyD, PhD) in NY, NJ, PA, NH, or MA
  • Willingness to become cross-licensed
  • Prior experience or strong interest in psycho-oncology, grief, medical trauma, or chronic illness
  • Comfortable leading groups and offering care via telehealth and/or in-person
  • Strong interpersonal and outreach skills
  • Technologically competent with EHR systems and virtual platforms
