Job Description
Forge Health is seeking a Psycho-Oncologist Community Therapist to join their expanding psycho-oncology program. This full-time role involves providing therapy services and proactive outreach to oncology networks. The ideal candidate will be an independently licensed therapist or someone working toward full licensure, with a strong interest in working with oncology clients and engaging the broader community in behavioral health education and access.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing individual, group, and family therapy to individuals and families impacted by cancer
- Facilitating psychoeducational and therapeutic groups
- Conducting community outreach to oncology providers and support networks
- Completing initial assessments, treatment plans, and documentation
- Collaborating with the clinical leadership team
- Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Participating in continued education and growth efforts
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Independently licensed or license-eligible (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, PsyD, PhD) in NY, NJ, PA, NH, or MA
- Willingness to become cross-licensed
- Prior experience or strong interest in psycho-oncology, grief, medical trauma, or chronic illness
- Comfortable leading groups and offering care via telehealth and/or in-person
- Strong interpersonal and outreach skills
- Technologically competent with EHR systems and virtual platforms
