Eventbrite is seeking an Engineering Manager for Relevance to lead its mission of enhancing event discoverability and engagement for users worldwide. This role involves guiding the development of innovative recommendation algorithms and user-focused features, aiming to transform event discovery into a personalized experience across Eventbrite's platforms. The Engineering Manager will lead a full-stack team focused on event discovery, recommendations, and frontend integration across web and mobile platforms.
The role involves:
- Providing strategic technical and people leadership.
- Developing and driving a technology roadmap.
- Fostering an agile, delivery-focused engineering culture.
- Collaborating with product, data science, design, and analytics teams.
- Mentoring engineers and championing software engineering best practices.
The ideal candidate should have:
- 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Experience overseeing ML-driven and personalization-focused feature development.
- Practical understanding of recommendation systems.
- Familiarity with applying Large Language Models (LLMs).
- A track record in managing and modernizing legacy systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
