Betsson Group is seeking a Data Engineering Team Lead to guide a team of talented individuals and oversee their performance. The Team Lead will actively drive delivery, promote a positive team spirit, and support individual career development. This role requires hands-on participation, dedicating approximately 50% of time to technical work. Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a high-performing data engineering team.
- Manage team performance, satisfaction, and career development.
- Drive team delivery in terms of time and quality.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and quality.
- Maintain high technical standards and ensure reliability.
- Collaborate with technical leadership for architectural alignment.
- Facilitate team discussions, decision-making, and knowledge sharing.
- Optimize team processes and resolve impediments.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the team.
- Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks.
- Knowledge in Scala.
- Knowledge of Distributed Computing (Spark/KStreams/Kafka Connect) and Streaming Frameworks (Kafka).
- Knowledge on Monolithic versus Microservice Architecture.
- Familiarity with the Apache suite (Hadoop, HDFS, Yarn, HBase, Hive, Spark, NiFi).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Time-series or Analytics Databases (Elasticsearch).
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2, EMR, Redshift).
- Familiarity with Data Monitoring and Visualisation tools (Prometheus and Grafana).
- Familiarity with software versioning tools (Git).
- Comfortable in an Agile environment with SDLC.
- Understanding of Data Warehouse and ETL concepts (Snowflake preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good learning mindset.
