Job Description

Yalo, a company focused on bringing conversational commerce to emerging markets, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to enhance and scale its data intelligence platform. This role involves applying advanced statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and deep learning frameworks to GenAI, recommendation, and personalization models. The Senior Data Scientist will collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to build and deliver algorithms to Yalo's SaaS platform. Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end development of ML & AI solutions.
• Design and implement A/B experiments and causal inference analyses.
• Continuously monitor model performance and assess data quality.
• Contribute to advancing NLP/GenAI applications.
• Contribute to solution generation and maintenance of complex recommendation systems.
• Act as a strategic partner to product, engineering, and commercial teams.
• Advocate for experimentation, explainability, and continuous evaluation of model performance.

Requirements:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science positions.
• Experienced in Python, SQL, and AI technologies.
• Experienced in recommendation algorithms and marketing optimization techniques.
• Able to clearly explain complex Data Science concepts.
• Proven track record of working with product and engineering teams.
• Experienced in designing solutions end-to-end.
