Job Description
Spin is seeking a highly motivated IC4 – Senior Data Steward to implement and maintain data governance within the organization. This role is crucial for ensuring a Business Data-Driven culture, where reliable, consistent, complete, accurate, and timely data is enabled. The Senior Data Steward will serve as a liaison between data and business teams, focusing on data initiatives, issue management, data quality, lineage, data governance, and taxonomy.Spin is FEMSA’s business unit that enriches and simplifies people's lives.   • Serve as a liaison with multiple data and business teams.
  • Identify critical data for the business and ensure its integrity.
  • Conduct analysis and execute tasks independently for data initiatives.
  • Examine and evaluate project status, identifying risks and potential problems.
  • Ensure compliance with policies related to data documentation and data lifecycle management.
  • Document and collaborate in the development of data governance policies and standards.
  • Accelerate the maturity of the "Data Driven" culture within Spin's verticals.
  • Lead topics related to Data Governance, standards, policies, and processes.
  • Define, maintain, and implement practices that keep data dictionary, glossary, lineage, and metadata up to date.
  • Define frameworks that align and optimize data processes.
  • Ensure user and business compliance with defined frameworks.
  • Safeguard data documentation regarding policies, rules, and standards.
  • Support problem resolution by proposing solutions for complex issues.
  • Optimize workflows and interactions to promote communication between departments.
  • Supervise and comply with security and data protection guidelines.
  • Ensure the masking of personal and/or sensitive personal data.
  • Ensure projects related to data migration meet acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain control over data from ingestion to mitigate risks.
  • Automate and implement controls to enhance data quality.
  • Define access matrices for tools within the data platform.
  • Ensure the implementation and operation of the metadata management tool aligns with the organization’s needs.
  • Lead access recertification audits for users on data storage tools.
  • Define best practices for building data domains.
  • Promote an autonomous work culture.
  • Serve as a Spin Culture Ambassador.
Requirements:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Data Governance / Data Stewardship / Master Data Management.
  • Experience documenting data policies, guidelines, and/or standards (5+ years).
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Quality Management.
  • 3+ years of knowledge of databases, data warehouse design, and Data Lake.
  • Data Privacy and Compliance knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills.
