Senior Software Engineer, AI Enablement

Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI Enablement to join their Developer Platform team. This role is focused on integrating cutting-edge AI capabilities into Reddit's Developer Platform, aiming to be the creativity launchpad for the internet. The ideal candidate will help Reddit lead in AI tooling and work with a team that is building a home for games and interactive experiences on Reddit.Reddit offers optional office spaces in NYC, SF, LA, Chicago, and Toronto, but this role is 100% remote friendly.What this role involves:

• Spearheading the integration of cutting-edge AI capabilities into our Developer Platform.
• Building and maintaining integrations leading AI IDE tools, including Cursor, Bolt.new, and Firebase Studio.
• Working with leading foundation models like OpenAI & Gemini.
• Fine-tuning and adapting AI models, integrating them with Reddit systems to solve unique problems for our creators.
• Developing our toolchain for agentic development, leveraging protocols like MCP to enable AI agents to interact with Reddit tools and services.
• Engaging directly with the community of developers and creators leveraging AI for rapid prototyping and development ('vibe-coding') to gather feedback and drive adoption.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in the Javascript & web toolchain.
• Experience using novel AI IDEs and associated toolchains.
• Experience working with and deploying OpenAI, Gemini or similar model providers.
• Interest in game development and creative spaces.
